Oxide Solutionsprovides the Oxide Web is an interesting and apparently open source cloud-based application which helps you use SEC XBRL information. 

This is an overview of that open source tool.

You can use Oxide which is a Flex application, a link is provided from the Oxide Solutions web site.  Fiddle with it, you can determine for yourself if this application provides value to you.
